■ PRODUCT SPECIFICATION

Rheological Additive is an organically modified smectite product designed for use in low to medium polarity solvent system containing aliphatic, aromatic and chlorinated solvents. BESTGEL 340 is an organocaly which been carefully cleaned, washed during the production. It is an organoclay with excellent anti-settling and thixotropic properties.

■ INCORPORATION

BESTGEL 340 can be incorporated into organic liquids using either shear or high speed dispersing equipment. The polar activator such as propylene carbonate, methanol/water (95/5), ethanol/water (95/5), or acetone acts as a wedge to help open up the clay platelets and developing maximum gellation. The relative amount of polar activator may from 30% to 60% by weight of BESTGEL 340 depend on the requirement of system, generally around 0.2-2.0% by weight of the system.
